Easy stuffing made from scratch and cooked to perfection in our slow cooker. So much less to worry about when you're doing the whole holiday meal.
Ingredient List:
6 tablespoons Butter
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Poultry Seasoning
2 medium Onions (diced)
2 cups Celery (chopped)
8 oz sliced mushrooms
20 oz Dried Stuffing Mix
1/4 cup Parsley (chopped)
1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs (Thyme, Sage, Rosemary, etc)
3-4 cups Stock or Broth
2 Eggs
Heat Butter over medium heat until melted.
Stir in Poultry Seasoning, Black Pepper, and Salt to taste.
Add Celery, Onions and Mushrooms.
Cook until softened.
Place Dried Stuffing Mix in a large bowl.
Add Celery/Onion/Mushroom mixture, Parsley and Fresh Herbs (if using).
Add Broth a little bit at a time, just to moisten, and gently stir. (You may not need all the broth)
Stir in eggs.
Spray a 5-6 quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
Place stuffing in the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 3-4 hours. (If stuffing is done before your meal, it will keep almost indefinitely on the warm setting.)
