With a super easy prep; and a set-it-and-forget-it cook time. This recipe makes a perfectly cooked, moist beef tongue that you can slice for sandwiches, shred for tacos, or, just eat as a roast.
Ingredients List:
1 Beef Tongue (2-3 pounds)
3 Garlic cloves
1 Red Onion (large chop)
1 cup Water
Place 1 cup of water in the bottom of your Instant Pot.
Place Beef Tongue on top.
Cover Tongue in Garlic and Onions
Set Instant Pot to "Pressure Cook" HIGH for 90 minutes.
After 90 minutes, let Instant Pot sit for about an hour to release pressure naturally.
Open Instant Pot and remove Beef Tongue from the inside to a cutting board.
Let cool for about 15 minutes.
Peel off taste buds (sorry, that sounds so gross!!). This is much easier when the tongue is still warm.
