Puttanesca Salad

I discovered Puttanesca late in life, and I can't even tell you why I waited so long to try it out. Tomatoes, briny capers, salty anchovies, olives, and yum! Give this cold version a try at your next BBQ. Goes great with a Greek Turkey Burger!


Ingredient List:

4 Tomatoes (seeded and chopped)

1/2 Red Onion

3 tablespoons Capers

1/2 cup Olives (coarsely chopped)

6 Anchovie filets OR 3 teaspoons Anchovie Paste

1 clove Garlic (chopped)

1/3 cup Parsley (coarsely chopped)

Extra Virgin Olive Oil (for drizzling)

Salt and Black Pepper


  1. Combine Tomatoes, Onions, Capers, Olives, Anchovies, Garlic, and Parsley in a medium bowl.

  2. Drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, just enough to coat the salad. (1-2 tablespoons)

  3. Sprinkle with Salt and Pepper.

  4. Toss and adjust seasonings if desired.
